Exotic Land of the Rising Sun

Arunachal, a gifted State of Bharat is a land of lofty mountains, green valley, singing rivers and gentle sand peace loving people who traditionally worship the Devatas that the rest of Bharat worships too. Arunachal Pradesh like to her parts of the country has many pilgrim centers and has contributed to enrichments of Bhartiya Culture.

• Surya, Chandra, Shiva and Shakti are invoked by various names and ways.
• The places like Malinithan(where archaeological excavations have revealed a very beautiful Devi temple), Ita Fort, Bhishmaknagar in Arunachal are mentioned in Mahabharata and Kalika Puran.
• Mahabharata, Yogini Tantra and Kalika Purana mentaion that bathing in River Lohit of Arunachal washes away all sins.
• Lohit is also mentioned in all Buddhist Nikayas.
• Sage Vyasa meditated here.
• Parashuram Kund is a place where Bhagavan Parashuram had washed off his sins.
• The Swayambhu Shiva Mandir at Menga near Daporijo of Upper Subansiri District, Ganesh Temple near Roing of Lower Dibang Valley District, Tamreswari temple on the banks of river Digaru near Tezu etc… are famous.
  
• It has the world's second largest and oldest Buddhist Monastery at Tawang.

Arunachal is the Dawn of Bharat as it receives the first rays of the Sun falling on Bharat varsha. It is the Eastern arm of the Himalayas the mountain of wisdom.
